It's a small world......

The world is a pretty small place. I talked to a lady last night whos son just got back from serving in Moss Bluff Louisiana. That was really neat. And then Sunday I found out that Robin Smith is in one of the wards we cover. Her name is Robin Lamb now, but it was crazy to figure out who she was cause for some reason I had just been thinking about that family two days before. That was really cool.
Elder Keir and I have been on overload these past few days. What’s great is that it’s just gonna get better. Towards the end of the transfer is the best part cause you’re cramming everything in and tryin to get things figured out and helpin other missionaries, it’s just a lot of fun. We went to the temple this morning and that helped everything. Pretty much, that place rocks.
Ernie and Delinda got married this week. That was way cool. They both get baptized this saturday. And if anyone remembers Patsy and Jake from Maricopa, they’re getting baptized on the 28th too. So that is awesome.
I love being in Arizona. I love being a missionary. I hope all yall are havin a fun time too.

Pretty much, this week was amazing. We are having a great time. Saturday we had both Sister Hancock and Sister Aguayo's baptisms. That was a lot of fun. Then we got to drive over to Maricopa for the evening to see Bill, Heather Cameron & Aaron, Jim & Jean, and Michael all get baptized. That was incredible. Probably one of the best nights of my mission.
Yesterday morning we climbed up to one of the saddles in the Goldfield Mountains to do our studies. That was awesome. It's beautiful up there.Then that afternoon we went to the Renaissance Fair with a recent convert. That was fun, but we definitely wont be allowing any other missionaries to go there. It was quite the experience.
Ernie and Delinda are getting married today. They're both getting baptized on the 28th. They are making huge progress, it's awesome.Brother Baker is set for the 7th. He is amazing. He made his own timeline to try to figure things out and it pretty much was the entire 1st lesson. He rocks.
I really love Apache Junction and serving with Elder Keir. We are having a blast.

Sunrise on Superstition Mountains

This week was amazing. I absolutely love this place. Apache Junction is a lot of fun.
We get to teach this guy named Ken that lives way up as far north as the road goes into the Goldfield Mountains. He's incredible. He had a stroke ten years ago so he doesn't have a whole lot of function on the left side of his body - but he's building his own house. By himself. He's awesome. And he's been so unbelievably prepared. He's way in tune with the Spirit. He met an LDS lady and he said it just hit him that he needed to meet her and get to know her better. And when he found out she was a 'Mormon' he thought, 'I should learn more about that.' And so now we get to drive 20 minutes up the mountain and teach him outside with the beautiful weather and the beautiful view. It's so awesome. I love Arizona. We're incredibly grateful to that lady for living right and being a good example to him.
Eric got baptized on Saturday. That was a lot of fun. He brought a ton of his family so that was way cool. This Saturday Sister Hancock and Sister Gomez are both getting baptized. Things are exciting over here.And they're still exciting back in Maricopa too. Elder Poteki is taking good care of the place for me. Last I heard, this Saturday will be the Baptisms of Heather & her sons Aaron & Cameron, Bill, Patsy & Jake, and Jim & Jean. So we are pumped for that.

New Posterity Tie

Apache Junction is awesome. I absolutely love being a missionary.My new companion Elder Keir is amazing. We've hit it off and we're having a blast together. It really is a lot of fun serving with him. He is a great missionary and really funny. He's from Milwaukee Wisconsin and he has a hilarious accent. He reminds me a lot of Elder Shonk - that's probably why we're such good friends.
We're in the Superstition Zone, in Apache Junction Arizona. it's East of Mesa and right at the base of the Superstition Mountains. It is awesome. Our area is about 5 times the size of Maricopa. It's not in the city anymore, so I absolutely love that. We've got lots of desert, lots of cacti, and lots of wildlife. It is SO COOL. It's what you think of when you picture Arizona. I really love it.
We're in an apartment now which is a lot of fun. I'm glad, cause I was worried about some family tryin to replace the Neilsons. I told them it just wouldn't happen. Brother Nielson made me some biscuits and gravy on my last mornin there. I will miss those. Since I passed on my original Posterity Tie to Elder Moa, I got to create my own and pass it down to Elder Dalton. That was fun. So now my name is on the oldest Posterity Tie in the mission and also one of the newest. Pretty cool.
We got to hear from Elder L. Tom Perry on Wednesday. That was awesome. We each got to shake his hand. Elder Keir and I got to sit in the front row. When he was on his way out he looked right at Elder Keir and said, 'Go get em' and that pretty much has made his whole month. It was really neat.
