Miracles everywhere......
Linda hasn't smoked in 5 days. She's doin great. She's all set to get baptized on the 9th.
Tara will be back on Sunday and she's will be baptized on the 16th.
We took the Corcoran family to the Christmas Lights at the Temple and they had a blast. The dad came to church with them and loved it.
Bryan got baptized on the 26th, he has been a lot of fun to work with. He's an awesome guy and has made tremendous progress, just in the six weeks I've been working with him.
The mission as a whole has been seeing incredible miracles every day. Our goal for the year was 1,200 and we reached it. I'm excited to see what the goal for 2010 will be.
My favorite part of being here is picking up the brand new missionaries every six weeks. They all look so terrified and confused and overwhelmed. And it reminds me of my first day here every time. To see them change so much in just six weeks is awesome. They're confident, they smile, they're completely different people. I would love to come back in two years and see these elders that just came in on Tuesday and see the growth that they've gone through. Serving a mission is such an inspired program. There's absolutely no way a group of 200 twenty-year-old kids could run a missionary effort in 26 stakes in Arizona and help them grow and accelerate consistently, especially with all the turnover that we see. This is clearly the Lords work, we're just here to learn and grow. I love being a missionary.
Everything is going great and gets even better every day. I get more and more tired every day, but it's completely worth it.
