Come unto Him.........

Apache Junction is wonderful. I love being out here. It's less city and more nice people. That's what I'm all about. Down-to-earth, kind, caring, people that will wave and smile at you when you pass by.
Elder Keir and I have had some amazing experiences this week. We've both grown a lot in our testimonies of the Savior Jesus Christ. It's been incredible to watch the miracles that happen as we testify of Him and his love for each of us. I've been reading the Old Testament the past few months and it's been incredible to see and learn that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been the exact same all throughout the history of the world. The book of Daniel really made it clear for me and all the small books of the prophets at the end as well. We've decided that when people truly study the scriptures, they come to realize that the truth has been restored and that we can come closer to Christ by living the principles and ordinances of the Gospel than by any other way. It's a clear distinction between people that really read and pray like we ask them and those that refuse to do it. It's so simple, yet so many people wont do it. Kind of like with Moses and the brazen serpent. All they had to do was look at the pole and they wouldn't die. But they wouldn't do it. All these people have to do is read from the scriptures and pray to ask Heavenly Father to know the truth. And it always happens. Every single time. We haven't once had someone that sincerely prayed for an answer and hasn't received it. It's amazing to me. We tell people to not take our word for it. We tell them to not listen to us, but to find out for themselves. Who else does that? And the joy and fulfillment and satisfaction that comes because that knowledge is incredible. It's incomparable to anything else in the world. I wish people would recognize that. We're not out here for two years 'to get people to join the mormon church.' It's not even the mormon church! It's the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's not just another religion for people to decide to convert to. It's true knowledge of our Savior and our Heavenly Father that has always been sent to the earth through a prophet and has been brought back again in the last days. We're not asking people to 'become mormon,' we're asking them to come to know their Savior better and to build their relationship with him, and to have this wonderful, eternal, everlasting happiness that comes with it. I think if more people understood that, they would be more willing to share what they have with their friends and neighbors.
I hope and pray that everyone will testify of our Savior more often and more boldly. Let people know that the fullness of His Gospel is back on the earth again. It clearly says it was going to leave (Amos 8:11, 2 Thessolonians 2:2-3) and now it's back. I know that as you do that, you will see miracles happen and you will come closer to Him and feel of his love more fully in your life.

Hi Elder Coffman,
It sounds like you are making a difference in Arizona. I am so proud of you and know your parents must be too.
Kelly was just out here for part of his Spring Break. We will be in California for 3 to 4 more months, so if you get a chance come see us.
